Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a PM/BA Global Markets for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities :
  • The primary function of role is to support, maintain and enhance an application called STAR. STAR is a trade processing system responsible for the deal capture of Interest Rates Derivatives, Futures, Bonds, MBS and Secondary Loans, and the subsequent passing of the trades through Middle Office to Back Office, to risk and to reporting systems. STAR is the backbone of the Rates Trade Processing IT suite.
  • Analysis - Perform analysis, define specifications and design for the assignments. Be responsible for end-to-end implementation of functionality on the Fixed Income IT applications.
  • Stay abreast of intricacies within bank's workflows & infrastructure across Global Markets. Provide subject matter expertise on Fixed Income Securities and regulatory workflows.
  • Take ownership of projects and other mission critical assignments. Perform role of Project Manager and Business Analyst for Global Markets initiatives.
  • Collaboration- Interface with Front office, Operations, IT, other functions and subject matter experts within the bank to understand & document business requirements.
  • Documentation - Create business user requirements documents, functional specs & test scripts
  • Testing and UAT - Perform & coordinate integration, regression & UAT testing. Run workshops/demo and arrange UAT for the stakeholders for the projects working and follow up on the action points.
  • Workflow management - Manage tasks in Jira and contribute to running IT prioritization meetings with development team and business users.
  • Reporting - Communicate & present solutions and risks to Business & ITO management. Provide effective and transparent reporting on all tasks and issues to management.
  • Regulatory - Ensuring adherence to all relevant compliance and regulatory policies.
  • Conduct-Mentor & share knowledge with team on topics to broaden the expertise and reduce the dependency.
  • Present a comprehensive commitment to quality, with timely & functional deliveries.
  • Show accountability and Commitment to continuous improvement. Embody a proactive, positive attitude and portray team spirit and collaboration across teams.

Required Skills:
  • Hands on Experience in FI Products (G10 Rates UST & MBS, Global Credit, IRD & Derivative Products) regulatory knowledge and experience and should work with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Understand the Trade Booking, Trade Capture & Trade allocation, and settlement processes
  • In depth understanding of the trade life cycle of at-least one of the FI products Bonds, MBS & Interest Rate Swaps and other Derivative/Futures products)
  • Ability to work with FO & MO to articulate the problem into proper requirements
  • Knowledge of SQL is MUST
  • Able to understand the message exchanging protocols XML, FiML, FIX & SWIFT messaging
  • Working in Scrum or another Agile environment
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills
  • High level of motivation
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with other teams in remote locations and autonomously in New York
  • Experience of technical support for STAR users, plus IT teams that interface with STAR
  • Proactive and flexible approach to dealing with challenges
  • Fixed Income business analysis experience, preferably in Bonds/MBS/IRD products
