Job Details
Johnson Service Group has an immediate need for a Technical Scrum Master who will be responsible for working with the development and QA teams to support Agile methodologies in a fast paced and high performance patient healthcare team. Experience with mobile and/or medical device product development is a huge plus.
Requirements
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
- 10 years of experience leading technology or business teams/projects
- Minimum of 5 years of Scrum master/Sr. Scrum master playing scrum master role for a software development team
- Have experience working in an Agile environment using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, XP, Kanban, or other scaled Agile model
- Experience leading distributed/virtual teams
Job Description
- Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.
- Must be able to assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity.
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Must be able to remove impediments for the team.
- Be familiar with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices.
- Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
- Experience with fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, and with an emphasis on problem solving.
- Be a facilitator for getting the work done, be able to facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Assist with internal and external communication and with improving transparency.
- Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
- Be able to communicate well with teams and Management.
- Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practice.
Skills
- Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM ), advanced training a plus.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a CSM for a software development team.
- Ability to synthesize complex concepts.
- Experience developing mobile applications preferred.
- Experience delivering healthcare/medical device products preferred.
- Agile software development experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills. Capable of understanding a broad range of viewpoints and building consensus.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced organization
- Pay range $80-$95 per hour
