My direct client is seeking a WEB ANALYTICS ANALYST. The ideal candidate has over three years of experience in a marketing analytics role. They are proficient with tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Heap, or similar platforms. A solid understanding of web analytics technology and basic web tech concepts, including Google Tag Manager, is essential. Strong communication skills are required to convey complex data in a clear and accessible way. The role demands someone who can confidently lead presentations and collaborate effectively. Additionally, the candidate should have an intrapreneurial mindset, understand marketing channels, and be comfortable with relational databases and data transformations.
Job Title: Senior Analyst Web Analytics
Job Location: NYC Remote (in NYC a plus)
Pay Rate: 50/hr w2
Assignment Duration: 1st Qtr 2026
Extension: may extend after 2026 budgets are confirmed
Schedule: 37.5 hrs. per week, 9a-5p with some flexibility
Target Start Date: 9/152025
Est. End Date: 03/31/2026
This role is 100% remote. Incumbent must work EST hours.
- THIS IS WHAT WE DO NOT WANT: at least three of the resumes sent through have been for SEO "analysts", which is different from a web analyst. There may be some overlap in skillset and approach, but if a candidate s leading value proposition is tied to a completely different discipline, the HM is not going to consider them. Startup experience is preferrable, while digital marketing and SEO is not (deep web experience essentially is what is required in this case)
- HM has also been sent resumes for candidates who focus on web tagging, which overlaps minimally with the skillset they are looking for. Manager communicated there is a difference between tagging implementation and data analysis.
- Some of the candidates have impressive analytics skill sets, in general related to programming languages, advanced learning techniques, etc. but they lack experience within web and/or marketing domains.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience with GTM and Heap would be ideal
- Marketing metrics, conversion rate optimization experience would be a top experience
-Three (3) or more years experience working in a marketing analytics role.
-Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Heap, and/or similar tools is required.
-A strong, practical understanding of Web Analytics technology.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize sophisticated information and convey complex ideas in an accessible manner.
-An ability to instill confidence and drive influence through presentations and live collaboration.
-An intrapreneurial mindset, seeking out ways to continuously improve both what is produced and how work gets done.
-A grasp of how various Paid, Earned, and Owned marketing channels work.
-An understanding of relational databases and supporting concepts; including granularity, keys, joins, and transformations.
-Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and basic web technology concepts.
