Job Title: Technical Product Owner

Job Duties and Responsibilities In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, defining the product vision and roadmap with a distinct focus on technical feasibility and implementation within an Agile/Scrum framework. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to manage and prioritize the product backlog, translating complex business requirements into actionable user stories and guiding technical decisions to ensure successful product delivery that aligns with overall business objectives. Your work, centered around leveraging Agile methodologies and a strong technical understanding of software development, is essential to supporting innovative product development and ensuring technical solutions meet strategic goals. Proven experience as a Product Owner in a technical capacity, particularly within an Agile/Scrum environment, is mandatory for this position.

Primary Skills

  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), enabling effective product backlog management (creating, prioritizing, refining) and the creation of clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Strong technical background with a comprehensive understanding of software development principles, architecture, APIs, databases, and system design, including its application in guiding technical decisions and ensuring the feasibility of product features.
  • Proficiency in acting as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear, detailed technical requirements and specifications, specifically for development and QA teams.
  • Advanced skills in stakeholder management, including excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage diverse groups (business, technical teams, customers) and align them with the product vision and roadmap.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, QA, and design teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, making data-informed and technical trade-off decisions to ensure successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and modern technology stacks beyond a conceptual level.
  • General hands-on experience with backlog management and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) for managing complex product development workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to a wide range of product and technical challenges, extending beyond daily backlog grooming.
  • Broader ability to contribute to strategic product planning, market analysis, and user research to inform the product vision and roadmap.
  • Experience in developing and delivering product demonstrations or training to stakeholders and end-users.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for managing priorities and scope with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
