Job Description:
Overview: One of our large financial services clients is looking for a strong Solution Architect that will be supporting the B2B payments integrations division. If youre looking for a new role with a market leader in the industry, feel free to apply & send resume to !
Location: 100% Remote but will need to travel every other month.
Duration: 6 months contract to hire
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Value & Customer Satisfaction
  • Define the project design and data model for integration, ensuring successful implementation of our solutions.
  • Manage deadlines and associated responsibilities and communicate effectively on ongoing projects (status, timing, deadlines)
  • Deliver client-facing solutioning workshops and contribute to the continuous improvement of our documentation and client-facing materials.
  • Assist sales partners with establishing technical fit and demonstrating product capabilities.

Demonstrate Product Expertise:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our company's products, services, as well as best practices.
  • Generate solution design deliverables including conceptual architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, technical component inventories, field mapping, and high-level solution estimates.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on origination, servicing, and payment workflows.
  • "Sell" the architecture process, its outcomes, and ongoing results.
  • Design and lead the implementation of solutions based on enterprise business requirements and IT strategies for payment and banking integration.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations for our clients.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS (Management of Information Systems), Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in multiple IT areas, to include experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, delivering training or technology consulting services.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with file-transfer as an integration method (batch processing & file transfer), ISO (XML), EDI (CSV), and/or structured plain text (BAI, NACHA, etc).
  • Experience with ETL or middleware where file translation and mapping are a part of the integration process.

Abilities
  • Able to read and interpret an XML file by hand.
  • Able to read and interpret a CSV file.
  • Able to read and interpret a file for batch processing (plain text with a header; or with a fixed width delimiter).
  • Able to perform field mapping exercises.
  • Able to hold client-facing solution consulting workshops.
  • Ability to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables.
  • High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility with leadership, team members, and business partners and establish effective working relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels and explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to multiple layers of peers and leadership.
