Job Description : Vice President of Software Sales
Location : Atlanta, GA (Remote with strategic travel - expenses covered by company)

About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Vice President of Software Sales to lead our sales organization and drive significant revenue growth. This executive-level position requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in software services sales who can build high-performing teams, establish strategic partnerships, and shape our go-to-market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire software sales organization
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve aggressive revenue targets and market expansion goals
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team including directors, managers, and individual contributors
- Establish and nurture relationships with Fortune 500 companies and key enterprise accounts
- Partner with C-suite executives internally and externally to drive business growth and strategic initiatives
- Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation through contract execution and client onboarding
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure alignment on messaging, positioning, and solution offerings
- Drive sales operations excellence including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate emerging sectors
- Represent the company as a thought leader at major industry events and conferences
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach
- Report directly to executive leadership on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in software services sales with at least 5 years in executive sales leadership
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales organizations that consistently exceed $20M+ annual revenue targets
- Extensive experience selling enterprise software solutions, custom development services, cloud migration, and digital transformation services
- Demonstrated success in closing complex, multi-million dollar deals with Fortune 1000 companies
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, emerging technologies (AI/ML, Cloud, DevOps), and IT services landscape
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing sales teams
- Outstanding executive presence with ability to engage confidently with C-level stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Expert-level negotiation and influencing skills
- Deep knowledge of sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, Solution Selling, etc.)
- Proficiency in Salesforce and advanced sales analytics platforms
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for client meetings and strategic initiatives (expenses covered)
