The Senior Linux System Administrator reports to the Manager, IT Technical Services and is responsible for the administration, implementation, support and management of the IT infrastructure systems; serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. This position will also lead on assisting in the effort of managing and supporting the Linux, Storage, Backup and Recovery systems.

KNOWLEDGE

Oracle Linux and Red Hat Linux system administration; Enterprise Storage, Enterprise Backups, Security; System performance monitoring tools; Effective project management techniques. Oracle Linux and Red Hat Linux system administration; Enterprise Storage, Enterprise Backups, Security; System performance monitoring tools; Effective project management techniques. OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) expertise

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)

Education: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline or equivalent training and experience.
Experience: Minimum of 12+ years relevant Systems Administrator (Linux Administrator) experience including complex on-premise Oracle environments, scripting, and systems software and support. Must have experience in the design, planning, and implementation of reliable enterprise level mail systems.

  • Patch evaluation and deployment: Oracle OLM, ULN, yum, up2date
