Job Description:
Armament Tester (Flight Line & Backshop)
Position Type:
6-Month Contract-to-Hire (CTH)
Location:
Onsite preferred in San Antonio, TX
Location Consideration:
Open to candidates with strong qualifications, especially those located near Hill AFB, Robins AFB, or Tinker AFB
Travel:
Quarterly travel may be required post-Cat-F award
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Strategic Armament Tester with hands-on experience in flight line or backshop testing of tactical aircraft systems. This technician will play a critical role in supporting proposal development and product development (pre-sales) for automated test solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Former F-16 Crew Chief or equivalent background
- Experience with automated test systems in flight line or hangar environments
- Strong understanding of aircraft data buses and electrical systems
- Comfortable working around active aircraft operations
Target Platforms:
Primary: F-16, A-10, F-15
Secondary (growth areas): MQ-9, F-22, F-35
Tertiary (less critical): Bomber platforms
Preferred Industry Background:
Experience with or at companies such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, or Marvin Test Solutions
Exposure to automated test equipment (ATE) and diagnostic systems used in military aviation
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute or support the design of armament testing procedures
- Interface with proposal and engineering teams to shape test strategies
- Provide subject matter expertise for pre-sales engagements
- Support integration of test systems with aircraft platforms
