Oracle ERP Finance Functional Analyst

San Francisco, CA

What You'll Do:

As the primary client-side reporting lead, you'll partner with client s implementation partner to ensure enterprise reporting needs are met with precision and strategic insight.

Requirements Analysis & Strategy (40%)
Capture and translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting solutions
Determine optimal reporting disposition (Oracle Cloud vs Analytics vs other subsystems) based on data elements
Evaluate multiple reporting tool options and recommend best approach (self-service vs canned reports)
Focus heavily on Finance reporting while managing Supply Chain and HR reporting needs

Stakeholder Engagement & Project Coordination (30%)
Lead cross-functional reporting workstream activities from design through deployment
Collaborate with implementation team and offshore development resources
Manage expectations and provide regular updates to organizational stakeholders
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with end users

Quality Assurance & Validation (20%)
Oversee report development validation and output testing
Ensure compliance with institutional data governance and security standards
Implement quality control processes for accuracy and functionality
Support data validation and reconciliation efforts

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer (10%)
Create comprehensive reporting specifications and metadata documentation
Support end-user training coordination and knowledge transfer activities
Facilitate project retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

10+ years of experience working as Oracle ERP Finance Functional Analyst with atleast 3 plus years of experience on Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Prior experience driving Reporting Strategy & Reporting Execution
Should have strong expertise in Fusion Finance modules while also having good reporting knowledge in Supply Chain & HCM functional areas
Proven experience with different Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher), Analytics, and secondary BI platforms (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI) etc.,
Strong background in gathering business requirements, documenting report requirement specification, assessing the ideal way the report is to be built (Oracle vs Analytics vs FRS), Self Service vs Pre-Built Report, etc.,
Work with offshore development team to get the reports built and validate the report output
Coordinate with users for User Acceptance Testing of the reports
Demonstrated project leadership skills managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
Expertise in relational databases, SQL, ERP data structures, and SDLC methodologies
Experience with reporting validation, test planning, and functional configuration across multiple ERP modules
