Description
We are looking for a skilled Database Analyst to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the accounting team by managing data storage, analyzing database design, and transforming statistical data into actionable insights. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy, security, and efficiency of database systems, contributing to organizational success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and modify databases across various platforms, including online systems, to meet project-specific needs.
Design and implement secure, efficient, and cost-effective databases in alignment with organizational requirements.
Keep up-to-date with best practices in data storage, management, and security.
Create and maintain documentation outlining database standards and processes.
Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database management software or utilities.
Analyze statistical data within databases to generate reports and respond to inquiries from leadership.
Manage short-term projects by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and providing real-time updates.
Convert unstructured or non-traditional data into organized, reportable formats using advanced tools.
Build dashboards and visualizations to support business intelligence initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in data processing, including at least two years working with database management systems or as a development programmer/analyst using database techniques.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Office tools, SQL Server, and other database software.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with web-based programming languages such as SQL, CRM tools, and business intelligence platforms is preferred.
Solid understanding of database design, construction, and optimization.
Experience with backup technologies, AB testing, and creating dashboards for data analysis.
