Jr. Data Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Junior Data Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier Insurance services clients in a Remote role.

Responsibilities :

• Develop reliable data assets that support organizational decision-making, using tools such as Informatica, B2B, PL/SQL, and Hadoop.
• Perform prototyping, data discovery, and data profiling to validate and refine data solutions.
• Apply data mining and business intelligence techniques to analyze large datasets and identify relationships, trends, and patterns.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build deep knowledge of the organization's business processes and customers.
• Solve multi-dimensional technical and business problems through rigorous data analysis and clear recommendations.
• Operate independently on assigned initiatives and serve as a resource/mentor to colleagues with less experience.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Informatica, B2B, PL/SQL, Hadoop (or equivalent data engineering and ETL platforms).
• Strong proficiency in data profiling, data discovery, and prototyping practices.
• Demonstrated ability in data mining and BI/analytics, including pattern detection and trend analysis on large datasets.
• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to translate business processes and needs into data solutions.
• Proven problem-solving abilities for complex, multi-stakeholder technical/business questions.
• Self-starter capable of working independently while guiding and supporting junior team members.
