CEI’s Fortune 30 Client in Media and Telecommunications is looking for an Android Engineer to add to their team!
Job at a glance:
- This is a long-term contract planned for 2025 extension and possibility of conversion to FTE
- $65-$75/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
- This is a hybrid position that would be onsite 4 days/wk and remote 1 day/wk
- Seeking those experienced working with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, has a UX or design background, and have worked closely with designers
- This role will work 50/50 between the production side of things versus prototyping
This Role
Description:
- The Experience Design (XD) Engineering team is looking for an Android Engineer to help drive our prototypes and UI component libraries forward. This role is to support our Entertainment vertical.
- The XD Engineering team bridges the gap between design and development.
- Work across all verticals
- Utilize same code frameworks as product
- Vet and iterate design decisions
- Create tangible prototypes for senior leadership
- Solve edge-cases before handing to production
- Build internal tools to increase XD productivity
- Build for user testing to improve products
- Contribute code to make user experience a priority
- We build experiences and develop with a design agenda. Our goal is to create beautiful and intuitive products that put the user journey first. The team can iterate on the future or deliver in product.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 1+ years of Android app development experience
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Proven ability to collaborate and iterate with UI/UX product designers
- Past experience working with Figma, Sketch, or Photoshop files is a plus
- Passion for design and attention to detail
- Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A self-starter, looking to help out
- Highly adaptable
- Ability to work solo or with a team
- Collaborating with designers
- Developing beautiful and intuitive experiences that can be used for vetting design decisions, user research and testing, executive demos
