Description

You will support the USSOCOM mission as we partner with SOF military and civilian members to provide world-class IT services and support that connect over 70,000 users around the world in the areas of software development / maintenance, network services, security, end-user computing, and test and evaluation. This position is based on-site at Fort Bragg, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts installation, tuning, testing, operating, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of WAN / LAN / VLAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software, including network and PC hardware and software.
- Conducts provisioning, operating, managing, and monitoring of WAN / LAN Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over the SOF Information Environment (SIE) and shared public IP networks, while ensuring compliance with applicable DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), DISA, United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), and USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
- Troubleshoots WAN / LAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluates the effect of architectural changes on them.
- Prepares activity and progress reports for the Government regarding IT systems performance initiatives.
- Implements network and security access.
- Collaborates with external Government and commercial circuit providers to expedite restoration of circuit outages.
- Provides mobile and Commercial Solution for Communications (CSfC) device support.
- Some positions may require shift work and / or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.
- Must have strong troubleshooting, analytic, diagnostic and communication capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of related experience; OR HS with 6+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
- DoDD 8570.01-M IAT Level II AND CCNA are required for this position.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI if hired.
- Must have solid technical skills, with experience in a variety of network, software, and hardware protocols involved in IT Specialist operations.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components.
- Must have strong troubleshooting, analytic, diagnostic and communication capabilities.
