Location: Hybrid in Connecticut (CT)

About the Role
Senior Product Owner with deep expertise in the insurance domain (ideally Property & Casualty (P&C)) to join our client s growing product team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defining product vision and strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering technology-driven solutions with some exposure to AI technologies or products.
This is a hybrid, long-term opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organization leveraging AI to modernize insurance operations and enhance customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaisonbetween business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery partners.
- Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and prioritiesaligned with business objectives.
- Lead backlog management, including writing detailed user stories, prioritizing features, and ensuring clear acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and design teamsto deliver high-quality product releases.
- Partner with stakeholders across insurance operations to gather requirements, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic input on AI-driven solutions, automation, and predictive analytics to enhance underwriting, claims, and customer service processes.
- Measure and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)and outcomes to ensure product success.
- Mentor juniorProduct Owners or Business Analysts as needed.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of experienceas a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within technology or insurance environments.
- Insurance industry experience is required Property & Casualty (P&C) preferred; Life, Health, or Specialty lines also acceptable.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale digital or data-driven products.
- Hands-on experience or exposure to AI/ML-powered tools, automation platforms, or data analytics products.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologiesand experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environmentand collaborate with distributed teams
