Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer to lead system enhancements, bug fixes, workflow improvements, and process optimizations that support secure, efficient, and compliant identity and access management operations. This role will be responsible for upgrading SailPoint, improving audit capabilities, streamlining processes, and ensuring integration stability in a regulated operational technology (OT) environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Upgrades & Enhancements
    • Lead the SailPoint upgrade from version 8.3 to 8.4/8.5, ensuring minimal disruption and integration compatibility.
    • Design and implement a new Access History database to include approval workflow history.
    • Enable and configure audit logging across the SailPoint environment.
  • Issue Resolution & Process Optimization
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and process inefficiencies in the current implementation.
    • Review and refine existing coding and business processes to reduce errors and facilitate upgrades.
    • Address TOSC Review Status malfunctions, including modification or removal if necessary.
  • Workflow & Notification Management
    • Customize email notification templates, timing, and approval workgroup settings.
    • Manage supervisor account workflows and reconcile disabled account statuses.
    • Develop multi-approver workflows for role entitlements.
    • Modify background check fields and automate contractor suspension upon expiration.
    • Implement deprovisioning alerts and oversee lifecycle transitions from disabled to deprovisioned states.
    • Develop rehire workflows for suspended, disabled, or inactive accounts.
  • Governance, Compliance & Reporting
    • Maintain and audit service account inventories.
    • Define onboarding processes, role definitions, permission sets, and approval group naming conventions.
    • Enhance privileged and service account approval workflows for compliance.
    • Lead data validation, cleanup, and transition to discretionary access models, including certification processes.
    • Document SailPoint maintenance activities and develop advanced analytics queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ implementations, upgrades, and custom development.
  • Strong knowledge of identity governance, workflow automation, and access management best practices.
  • Proficiency in database design and management related to identity systems.
  • Familiarity with audit logging, compliance standards, and reporting in SailPoint environments.
  • Skilled in Beanshell scripting, Java programming, and XML configuration.
  • Experience integrating SailPoint with Active Directory and other enterprise systems.
  • Strong ability to optimize notification systems, approval workflows, and role/entitlement models.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in regulated OT environments is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SailPoint Certification (IdentityIQ Engineer or equivalent).
  • Experience with advanced analytics and reporting tools.
