Position: Business Specialist (Standard Operating Procedures)

 

Location: Tallahassee, FL (REMOTE)

 

Summary:

 

  • Seeking a Business Specialist responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related process flows using Lucidchart
  • The Business Specialist will work with cross-functional teams to document and visualize business processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational standards
  • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong experience with process mapping and business operations, and possess the ability to translate complex procedures into clear, visual representations
  • This is a Contract-to-Hire position
  • This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Tallahassee, FL

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain SOPs: Work with various departments to document and update Standard Operating Procedures across the organization
  • Create process flows in Lucidchart: Design and maintain business process maps, workflows, and decision trees using Lucidchart to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Partner with department heads, process owners, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation
  • Analyze business processes: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements through SOPs and visual mapping
  • Maintain version control: Ensure all SOPs and Lucidchart diagrams are up to date, properly cataloged, and version-controlled
  • Training and support: Train team members on how to use Lucidchart for process visualization and provide support for creating internal process documentation
  • Compliance and standardization: Ensure that all SOPs and workflows comply with organizational and regulatory standards, including any industry-specific guidelines

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in process documentation, SOP development, or business operations
  • Proven experience in using Lucidchart or similar process-mapping software (e.g., Visio, Draw.io)
  • Strong proficiency in Lucidchart for business process modeling and documentation
  • Experience in creating clear, comprehensive, and visually appealing process diagrams and SOPs
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and identify inefficiencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into user-friendly documentation
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
