Title: Healthcare Functional Business Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Terms of Employment
Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension / Possible Conversion)
This position can be 100% remote. Candidates based in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, or West Virginia are highly preferred, but not required.

Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is looking for Business Analysts to join a dedicated Benefits Management team at a prominent healthcare organization supporting a critical annual project. We are seeking analytical Business Analysts to contribute to the successful documentation of benefits for the upcoming plan year. This role focuses on interpreting client requirements, creating functional documentation, and crafting user stories within a Jira/SAFe environment. This position offers the chance to work remotely and gain experience within a major healthcare organization. Responsibilities include:
Receive and interpret business requirements from the client for benefit changes.
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
Create functional documentation and user stories (using Jira).
Ask clarifying questions to ensure accuracy of requirements.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are understood.

Required Qualifications
Approximately 5+ years of relevant Business Analysis experience.
Healthcare industry experience, particularly with benefits or claims processing.
Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.
Experience with Jira.
Strong analytical skills.
Proven experience gathering requirements and creating functional documentation/user stories.
Experience translating business needs into functional/technical language.
Ability to ramp up quickly on new processes.
