Randstad is seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop & Windows Systems Technician to join a dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows-based hardware and software. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with strong communication and project management skills, capable of managing hardware inventory and improving IT service delivery through a familiarity with ITIL principles. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prominent Randstad client and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations.

responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to resolve end-user issues promptly and effectively.
- Image and deploy new Windows hardware to end-users.
- Manage and maintain the inventory of IT hardware, ensuring accurate records and availability.
- Utilize Service-Now for ticketing, tracking, and resolving technical support requests.
- Contribute to project management initiatives related to IT infrastructure and systems.
- Apply ITIL principles to improve IT service delivery and efficiency.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end-users and team members, both orally and in writing.
qualifications:
- Demonstrated technical experience in a desktop or IT support role.
- Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
- Familiarity with hardware imaging processes.
- Experience with hardware inventory management.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and their application in an IT environment.
- Experience using Service-Now or a similar IT service management platform.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
