Job Details

Title: Electronics Technician (Day Shift)

Location: Columbus, IN (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ months

Hours: Monday through Friday - 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (8-hour flexible shift)

Interview: 45 minutes in person interviews.

 

** We are looking for someone with mix of electronics/electric, software tools operating experience (not software development). **

** Looking for candidates who have worked in lab with focus on data acquisition systems, electrical/electronic repair/maintenance, instrumentation. **

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

Tasks will include activities involved with troubleshooting, setups, and tools development of test systems/lab operations

Resource will be assigned Work Orders to complete

Completion of work order could include, but not limited to:

Controls Lab uses work order system to capture the support requests. Lab manager reviews and assigns the work orders to available resources in the team. For night shift, fixed bid resource will monitor the work order submitted in night shift time and start working on those along with the work orders assigned by lab manager prior to shift start time.

Hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)/Test system environment hardware setup and maintenance

Resolve daily test system/equipment software and hardware issue reported

Support daily setups and setup changes for HIL test systems and test equipment

Ensure benches have required software support items installed as applicable including but not limited to CyberApps plant models, LUIS Configurations, and support sequences

2Modification of existing test bench wiring harness as required per test plan, creating peripheral connections to integrate engine parts e.g. IAT, EGR, VGT, etc., instruments, sensors, etc.

Maintain system configuration documentation i.e what hardware, cards, serial numbers, load drawer style, etc.

System setup/maintenance/calibration activities and process improvements

CAN panel configuration documentation maintenance

Harness maintenance checkouts per schedule: review revisions, plans for getting them updated from concerned team

Actuator cart configuration and maintenance

Overall system maintenance activities and organization as defined

Support equipment hardware checkouts and follow-up at due return date

Work with Hardware Engineer on project support needs

Electronic test custom development support

Custom test hardware development, documentation, and build as requested e.g. making ROM boot setups, harness creation, integrating additional power supply or small instruments, etc.

Daily general lab support

Contribution to daily troubleshooting and troubleshooting guide development and updates

Contribution to training and training updates

Contribution to inventory maintenance, lab maintenance and upkeep

Contribution to continuous improvement projects
