Job Details
We are currently recruiting for a full-time supervisor so there would be a possibility to convert if the candidate is qualified otherwise the intent is to utilize the contractor until the position is filled. Estimated contract is 6 months. Must have union experience in a manufacturing setting and timekeeping (Kronos) Degree is not required for contract but would be required if pursued as a full-time candidate Manages about ~25-30 employees
What will you do?
- Ensures achievement of production schedules in accordance with the objectives of cost - quality lead time
- Organizes the training needs of teams
- Contributes to the industrial processes improvement with the functions supports
- Responsible for people management including: goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being
- Ensures safety focused attitude by all employees
- Has ownership of group performance goals and objectives What qualifications will make you successful?
- Bachelor s Degree preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
