Job Title: Project Manager CalAIM & Epic Implementation
Location: Foster City, California (Bay Area preferred) Hybrid (Onsite as needed)
Clearance: Must pass background check and obtain clearance for jail facility access
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a cross-functional team in delivering a high-impact project aligned with the CalAIM initiative, with a specific focus on Epic clinical systems. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project execution from planning and stakeholder coordination to risk management and quality delivery ensuring compliance with Medi-Cal requirements for incarcerated care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the Project Charter, Project Plan, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including HIT and clinical stakeholders
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring alignment with CalAIM compliance goals
- Collaborate with Epic module owners (ClinDOC, Orders, HB, PB, Grand Central, Claims, and Population Health)
- Facilitate status meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder reporting
- Ensure quality of deliverables and alignment with regulatory and operational objectives
- Support requirements gathering, workflow mapping, and business analysis tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 5 7 years of Project Management experience, preferably in healthcare or public sector
- Experience managing CalAIM or similar healthcare compliance initiatives
- Strong understanding of Epic systems (certification not required)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects in hybrid work environments
- Proficiency in PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within or for county health systems or correctional healthcare
- Prior background in Business Analysis or roles involving documentation of workflows and requirements
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in related field
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid (Primarily remote; onsite presence required as per project milestones or stakeholder needs)
- Must be California-based; strong preference for Bay Area candidates
