Description
Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator with experience and outstanding organizational skills to join a prominent company. To excel in this position, you should be a results-oriented problem solver who is passionate about establishing and sustaining a stable network infrastructure. To support the business, you will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components in order to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure. You should be comfortable working with constantly changing software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems. It will be crucial for you to stay current and fully informed through ongoing education. This long-term contract / contract to hire opportunity is for a Network Administrator who will work in the Johnstown, Ohio, area.
Major responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues regarding local area networks / wide area network, including performance and connectivity problems
- Managing the operation of all local area networks and services related to wide area networks, following company policies and procedures
- Administering control measures for LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam
- Organizing and executing upgrades to network software and hardware
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills
- 1+ years relevant experience
- Expertise in network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations
- Basic Troubleshooting experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of Hardware Installation
- Foundational knowledge in Computer Hardware
- Strong familiarity with Hardware Troubleshooting
- General familiarity with LAN (local area networks)
- Experience with Hardware and Software
- Well-founded grasp of Computer Imaging
- Comprehensive knowledge of Basic Network Troubleshooting
- Prior experience in production and on-call environments
