Job title: Development Product Owner

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Development Product Owner to support our Property and Casualty (P&C) billing systems team. The ideal candidate will possess strong core Development Product Owner skills, a strong knowledge of Property and Casualty (P&C) sector, P&C billing experience, and experience in SDLC environments. This candidate will be supporting two development teams. As such, the role requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both leadership and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Breaks down features and creates stories with detailed acceptance criteria for developers in Agile.
Prioritizes the teams work, interacts with business owners, other DPOs, Product Managers, and IT.
Understands dependencies of work with other groups in and outside of the development team.
Identifies, roams, and solves risks. Provides regular updates on the progress of work.
Refines features and creates stories with acceptance criteria for developers.
Transparently communicates work progress to stakeholders and business owners.
Manages risks and impediments, problem-solves to remove barriers and ensure progress.
Requirements:
3+ years of Development Product Owner skills, including backlog management, grooming, and collaboration.
Background in Property and Casualty insurance and ability to understand the terminologies
Strong knowledge of Agile/SAFe
SDLC knowledge with a background in development or IT Systems Analysis
Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with both leadership and development teams.
Experience with SAFe framework and relevant certifications (POPM, CSPO, PSPO) is highly desirable.
Proficiency with Jira
