Job Details
Title: Sr. Linux Engineer
Location: Hybrid, Franklin, TN
Compensation: 130k
Employment Type: Contract to Hire (6months)
Must Have experience:
5+ years experience as a Linux Engineer or similar role.
Expertise in Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, AHV, KVM)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain Linux systems and servers in production and development environments.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Develop and implement security measures to protect Linux systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
Collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to maintain system integrity.
Optimize system performance through tuning and capacity planning.
Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members.
