This team plays a critical role in designing, stabilizing, improving, and transforming production systems to achieve world-class operational excellence for some of the world's most sophisticated aircraft and defense platforms.

You will support a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams that take pride in developing, integrating, testing, and delivering innovative solutions.

Program Focus

This role supports Apache Helicopter production within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). Candidates will work on low-volume assembly for large-scale platforms, ensuring precision and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Position Responsibilities

Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to products, processes, and services.

Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, and workflow sequencing.

Design, maintain, and optimize production systems by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

Conduct workflow analysis; develop models, databases, and spreadsheets for data analysis and metrics.

Research, design, and implement process improvements to enhance schedule performance, reduce cost, and improve quality.

Support execution planning using project management, scheduling, and shop load practices.

Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery planning support.

Ensure compliance with industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Industrial Engineering or similar experience (Production/Manufacturing Engineering).

Typically 3+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with low-volume assembly on large-scale platforms (rotorcraft, military aircraft, or similar).

Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.

Discrete Event Simulation Software (Simio, ProModel).

Constraint-Based Scheduling Software (Aurora, MS Project).

Job Scheduling and Sequencing.

NX/Unigraphics or other 3D CAD tools.

APQP and PFMEA.

Teamcenter tools (PDM, Process Simulate, Manufacturing Process Planner).
