Job Description:
- We are seeking a PDQ Patch Management Specialist for a 6-month contract to lead and execute a structured monthly patching cycle for approximately 1000 end-user devices and 400 servers. This role will be responsible for managing Microsoft and third-party patching using PDQ, with a goal of establishing and maintaining best practices for patch hygiene across the environment.
- The current guideline for patching cadence is: Week 1: Microsoft Patch Tuesday updates are deployed to a designated test group. Week 2: Microsoft patches are deployed to the remaining user base, contingent on successful testing. Week 3: Third-party patches are deployed to a designated test group. Week 4: Third-party patches are deployed to the remaining user base, contingent on successful testing.
- The role includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting responsibilities. Reports must include total asset counts, vulnerability breakdowns by severity (Critical, High, Medium), and progress against patching targets. Weekly reports should be narrative-driven, clearly outlining what was completed and what is planned.
- The selected candidate will be expected to: Review, reconfigure, and maintain PDQ in accordance with patching best practices that align with company goals. Take ownership of the patching process after onboarding. Work on-site three days per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday required. Collaborate with a team that is actively learning and integrating multiple security tools.

- Microsoft Certs, System center Experience that is a plus
