Configuration Administrator (LogicMonitor)
TYPE: Contract-to-Hire
COMP: Full Time - $110k - $120k Base, $10k - $15k Bonus (est.)
HIRING TIMEFRAME: ASAP LOCATION: Remote with some limited travel (less than 25%)
This position is part of a Managed Services operation. This is a remote position that can be located anywhere. There would be an hourly contracting rate for the first 3 months.
After that, the candidate will convert to full time.
Looking for an individual who is an expert in monitoring tools. Preferably LogicMonitor, but familiarity with any tool (New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, etc...) would be fine.

TITLE: Senior Configuration Management Administrator for Logic Monitor (Senior Managed Services Consultant)
LOCATION: Remote, US
(Preferred: Driving distance to Chicago, Columbus, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Nashville, or Boston metropolitan areas)
Job Summary:
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Managed Services Provider. We are seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Management Administrator for Logic Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Logic Monitor system and its global configurations. This role requires a deep understanding of many technologies and monitoring systems as well as excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Deep experience with Logic Monitor, or New Relic/Big Panda/Other monitoring tools) to gain actionable insights
Strong experience developing tools, integrations, and dashboards with Logic Monitor or similar monitoring systems.
Strong Experience with CI/CD methodologies, workflows, configuration management, and tools such as ServiceNow
Linux/Windows system administration
Scripting and automating administration tasks like Python, Bash, PowerShell
Web application hosting and troubleshooting experience (ISS, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx)
High Availability / Load Balancing / Redundancy
File storage technologies NFS, LVM
Technical troubleshooting skills for both system performance and network connectivity issues.
Deep knowledge in any of the following: automated monitoring, CI tools (Continue Integration tools like Jenkins), auto-scaling, Infrastructure as Code (IaC),
Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices.
Perform regular backups and recovery procedures.
Collaborate with development teams to support application development and deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring end-user satisfaction and maintaining a positive relationship with clients.
Qualifications & Experience: Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with monitoring tools.
Strong Monitoring tools and Reporting capabilities using LogicMonitor (or New Relic, Big Panda, or similar)
Experience combining New Relic with Big Panda to gain actionable insights
Scripting and automating administration tasks like Python, Bash, PowerShell
Technical troubleshooting skills for both system performance and network connectivity issues
Strong Experience with CI/CD methodologies, workflows, configuration management, and tools such as Service Now
Preferred:
Between 7 to 10+ years of experience with any of the following: Artificial Intelligence capabilities setup using LogicMonitor (or New Relic/Big Panda/Other ).
Technical leadership roles, driving innovative solutions
Container technologies: Docker / Kubernetes / Rancher
Public and Hybrid clouds technologies, (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc)
Transactional Databases MySQL, MS SQL, Postgres
Agile methodology (SCRUM) experience.
Prior experience in a Managed Services Provider or Customer Facing role.
Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
Certification in SQL Server or other relevant technologies.
