YOUR ROLE:

As an Implementation Engineer - Process Focused (Manhattan Active WMS/OMS), you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and implementing best-in-class warehouse and order management processes that align with lean operating model and the Manhattan Active platform.

You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders-including Operations, IT, Super Users, and Training teams-to define efficient workflows, support system configuration, and ensure that business processes are fully aligned with system functionality and operational realities. This role blends industrial engineering rigor with hands-on implementation, ensuring every site deployment delivers measurable process improvement and performance consistency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Operational Process Design

  • Design and document standardized warehouse and order management workflows that align with operational model and Manhattan Active functionality.

  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, improve throughput, and standardize processes across multiple customer operations.

  • Develop detailed process maps, SOPs, and engineered standards to support deployment and long-term process control.

  • Support the development of system work instructions and visual aids used during training and post-go-live support.

  • System Implementation & Integration

  • Translate operational requirements into Manhattan Active WMS/OMS functional specifications.

  • Collaborate with Configuration and IT teams to ensure the system setup reflects business process intent.

  • Participate in QA and UAT testing to validate process functionality and system performance.

  • Support process validation and readiness activities during go-live and hypercare.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Super Users, and Training teams to align process and system documentation.

  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions with site teams to identify process pain points and improvement opportunities.

  • Serve as a bridge between technical teams and operational stakeholders, ensuring clarity in process execution expectations.

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Collect and analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Document lessons learned and contribute to a central repository of standardized processes.

  • Support continuous improvement culture by promoting process discipline and operational excellence across sites.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

  • 4-6 years of experience in warehouse process design, industrial engineering, or operations improvement, preferably in a 3PL or distribution environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WMS/OMS and other Tier 1 warehouse systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, etc.).

  • Experience with Lean process design, engineered labor standards, and warehouse layout optimization strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in technology-enabled process deployments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, AutoCAD, and MS Office).

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage operational and technical audiences.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

  • Self-starter with a focus on driving results and process discipline.

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% across North America.
