About the Role
We are seeking a Project Controls Support / Scheduler with proven expertise in Primavera P6 to join our team supporting PMO initiatives. This role is critical in helping project teams develop, monitor, and maintain integrated project schedules and estimates to ensure efficient execution. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in construction scheduling and estimating.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to develop project plans and translate them into detailed schedules and cost estimates.
- Create and maintain master and detailed schedules, including milestones, WBS, cost/resource assignments, and resource leveling.
- Monitor schedule progress and critical paths; develop recovery plans and alternative strategies as needed.
- Generate schedule progress reports, trend analyses, and forecasts for key project activities.
- Ensure accuracy and credibility of project estimates and schedules.
- Support the preparation of time and cost claims.
- Maintain historical data and lessons learned for future project planning.
- Apply industry-standard methodologies and tools for estimating and scheduling.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through benchmarking and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field + 3 years of relevant experience.
- Associate Degree in a related field + 5 years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma/GED + 7 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills
- Primavera P6: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating and scheduling for large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of project management, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Expertise in schedule design, cost/resource loading, schedule quality analysis, and performance tracking.
Additional Requirements
Local candidates only. Must be able to work on-site or commute reliably to Detroit, MI.
