Description

We are looking for an experienced ITS Senior Technician to join our IT Help Desk team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, ensuring the efficient operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This is a long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to contribute to critical IT operations and projects.

Responsibilities:
Deliver effective technical support for Windows-based desktops and laptops, including setup, imaging, maintenance, and problem resolution.
Provide assistance with core applications such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft 365 services.
Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to deploy software updates, manage configurations, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Manage endpoint protection and threat detection using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory.
Document technical solutions and support activities within the service management system.
Escalate complex technical problems to higher-tier support or relevant IT staff.
Maintain and update inventory records for IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth IT transitions for employees.
Collaborate on IT projects to support organizational technology initiatives.

Requirements

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles, ideally in a government or enterprise setting.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for imaging, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting.
Familiarity with endpoint protection tools such as Microsoft Defender.
Proven ability to manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
Basic understanding of networking concepts and remote access tools.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102, AZ-900) are preferred.
