Job Details

Our client, a leading government technology service provider located in Patuxent River, MD, is in need of a Secret Cleared Security Systems Engineer on a 6-month contract-to-hire. This engineer will work onsite daily in Pax River and will be responsible for protecting critical national defense technologies by developing and implementing anti-tamper solutions across multiple naval aviation platforms and systems. They will also lead threat modeling, develop Anti-Tamper requirements, and integrate both physical and software-based protections across system development lifecycles, ensuring compliance with DoD policies while staying current on emerging threats and technologies.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years in systems engineering, with 5+ years focused on Anti-Tamper (AT) or Systems Security Engineering
  • Experience supporting Navy programs and platforms
  • Familiarity with cyber threat modeling and Anti-Tamper architectures
  • Strong Understanding of system design, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and CI/CD
  • Ability to decompose requirements, validate hardware implementations, and test functionality
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Understanding of NIST 800-53 and DoD 5200.39
  • Experience collaborating with PMA offices and cyber warfare teams
