Our Team
The Content Acquisition team is an integral part of Bloomberg Data. Our team is at the forefront of acquiring cutting edge data from brokers, exchanges, banks and other content partners that powers the Bloomberg terminal & its downstream enterprise offerings. We are responsible for end to end relationship management with our valued content partners and collaborate internally to align with the strategy that fuels our overall business.
Within Content Acquisition, the Research team manages the research & estimates product spanning multiple asset classes that forms a critical part of the market participants day to day investment decision making process. Bloomberg research product is an industry leading benchmark offering that powers Bloomberg users with access to research and estimates content enabling them to take timely & data backed decisions. We holistically manage the content partner relationships enabling them to distribute their content to the right set of clients ensuring content visibility and usage.
The Role
The Research team is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial professional to join our global team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing relationships with sell-side partners and other data content providers, with the goal of acquiring and maintaining high-quality research and estimates content sets. Additionally, you will lead strategic efforts to ensure contributed content coverage in your region aligns with our core product offerings and overall business objectives.

The Role

Additionally, you will lead strategic efforts to ensure contributed content coverage in your region aligns with our core product offerings and overall business objectives.
We'll trust you to:
- Build strong collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationships with research content partners in your region
- Proactively engage with the content partners to drive their decision making to onboard and help maintain research, estimates, models & deep data sets that forms an integral part of the overall fundamentals research product. Secure their commitment and negotiate favorable terms on content distribution, usage and cost
- Work closely with existing and potential content partners to demonstrate the benefits of distributing their content on Bloomberg, spot consumption trends and help them execute an effective distribution strategy to ensure contents visibility and usage with an end goal of driving client engagement
- Collaborate with product and technical teams internally to help ensure the content is distributed leveraging the most effective technology thereby providing maximum leverage to content partners distribution effort
- Have your eyes on the region and act as a true domain expert working closely with Bloomberg internal stakeholders in core product & sales. Enhance internally our understanding of market dynamics, spot regional trends and identify coverage gaps to help frame a seamless research content acquisition, consumption and management strategy
- Spot thematic opportunities and organize events enhancing content partner and overall community engagement ensuring Bloomberg leadership as a thought leader on these forums
You'll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience of working in sales or a relationship management role within financial institutions preferably within the sellside, buyside or industry data vendors serving these institutions
- Demonstrated experience of managing and growing senior stakeholder relationship & C-suite engagement to drive sustainable long lasting relationships and client engagement
- Strong understanding of financial markets and interaction dynamics of various market participant types within the investment community
- Strong understanding of end to end fundamentals workflow and how research fits within the ecosystem: right from idea generation stage to research production, distribution and consumption
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute plans under tight deadlines through partnership with external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal English communication + presentation skills
- Willingness to travel quarterly to client sites
