Pay: $45-56/hr (depending on experience)

They are seeking a highly proficient Backend Engineer to join the dynamic team. As a Backend Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems that drive their applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements, architect solutions, and implement features that enhance the performance and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.


• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.


• Architect solutions that are simple, secure, efficient, and maintainable.


• Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.


• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.


• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.


• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to address them.


• Stay abreast with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in backend development.


• Document design decisions, technical specifications, and implementation details.


• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage backend services in production environments.


• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.


• 3+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a robust portfolio demonstrating backend development skills.


• Proficiency in one or more backend programming language PHP (ideal). Also open to Go, C#, Python, Java, or Node.js who is willing to learn and shift to PHP.


• Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).


• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices and event driven architecture, and message queue systems.


• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is ideal).


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.


• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
