Job Details

Role: VMware System Administrator

Location: Madison, WI - Must be a current Wisconsin resident. No relocation allowed

Duration: Until 2/27/26 with the possibility of extending

Interview Process: Microsoft Teams interviews - 30 minutes (20 minutes with 10 minutes for candidate questions)

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

1 or more years of experience in the below:

1. Proficiency in using VMware to manage Windows and Linux Servers.

2. Building, configuring, and managing Windows and Linux servers in a complex environment with over 300 servers.

3. Implementing and maintaining security and disaster recovery measures on Windows and Linux servers to safeguard data and applications.

4. Answering support tickets, assisting users with issues related to Windows servers and applications.

5. Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills

1. Experience monitoring system performance and uptime.

2. Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and/or M365 a plus.

3. Knowledge of IAM systems and two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred.

4. Experience working with MS SQL servers and clusters.
