DESKTOP ADMINISTRATOR TEAM LEAD

 

We are seeking a proactive, highly skilled and experienced Team Lead for our Desktop Administrator team. This position will help oversee the daily operations of the desktop support team and ensure exceptional service delivery across the organization in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation and excellent technical support services for all desktop systems within the organization. The candidate will have extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks and strong problem-solving abilities. The candidate will collaborate closely with the department manager to efficiently manage ticket escalations and provide exceptional customer support through phone, email, and chat. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the desktop support team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance and facilitate continuous learning and development.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Handle escalated technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or improvements to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures, enhancing systems security and data protection.
  • Lead projects related to desktop technology deployments and improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior level role.
  • In-depth knowledge of desktop systems, networking, and various operating systems (Windows11, Fortinet).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex technical issues.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working well with multiple departments and varying levels of management.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
