REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in advanced technologies, including a minimum of 5+ years as a technical architect
- Minimum 7 years' experience in development, including a minimum of 3+ years leading development resources
- Solid experience architecting and designing business solutions with enterprise-scale technologies (Web Application, Database, Container Computing Platform, Identity and Access Management, API Management, Infrastructure, Networks, Web & Integration software
- Solid experience in the software development life cycle process and methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Ability to inform, educate, and influence managers and employees to support goals and initiatives
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey goals and initiatives to the team and management
- Strong Automotive OEM experience preferred
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the project delivery lead and quality assurance lead, provide technical leadership to ensure projects can be delivered timely, on budget, and meet business & system requirements.
- Analyze business requirements, conduct alternative analysis as needed, define and model solution architecture, estimate the recommended solution, and represent it to the Architecture Review Board (e.g., logical & physical architectures, data classifications/protections, integrate comprehensive security principles into all phases of design and architecture, solution cost estimation, and alternative justification, etc.) for review and approval.
- Lead detailed design, solution development, and deployment (apply proper architecture and design patterns, adhere to corporate GoA architecture and design principles, document technical design, code review for quality and security, coach and mentor technical teams, bug fix remediation, and performance tuning)
- Able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Solid experience in working with business/product team to discuss, analyze, understand, and negotiate business requirements, being able to explain to the business about the technical considerations and associated implications on the user journey/experience/requirement
- Solid experience in Spring Boot, Spring framework, J2EE technologies, event-driven architecture, microservices, distributed architecture, and design patterns.
- Solid experience in modelling architecture and design with expertise in at least one of the following frameworks (C4 model, UML, ArchiMate, or Arc42, etc.)
- Strong experience in designing and implementing Restful APIs using Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and experience with API Management.
- Extensive experience architecting and designing modern business-facing and consumer-facing web applications, including Single Page Applications using the responsive design concept with Angular or React, etc.
- Solid experience in cloud-based application design, development, and API driven systems integration
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD Tools (SVN/GitHub/Maven/Jenkins/JIRA)
- Experience with cloud native application design and development with mainstream platforms and technologies
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OpenShift, Kubernetes, ELK, etc.
- Experience with queueing and streaming technologies, including IBM MQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, etc.
- Experience with IBM Security Access Manager, IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM WebSphere, IBM API Connect, and DataPower
- In-depth understanding of the security architecture & design (Identity management, Authentication and Authorization framework, SAML, OIDC/OAuth2, 2FA, mTLS, secret and certificate management, etc.) and hands-on experience
- Hands on experience with Application Performance Management, Website Performance Monitoring tools, and performance tuning
- Experience with application usage analytics and dashboard reporting
- Solid experience with NoSQL concepts and products
- Solid experience with GraphQL-based API development with Apollo or similar products
- Hands-on experience with implementing robust logging and tracing for end-to-end systems observability and traceability
- Hands-on experience with code quality and coverage tools like SonarQube.
- Willing and ready to participate in hands-on code development with the dev team for developing and troubleshooting, doing quick proof of concepts for exploring new solutions, products, etc.
