Job Title: PC Support Technician

Location: Columbus, Ohio (100% On-Site)
Contract Term: 1 year, with possible extension
Hours: Full-time, Monday Friday, standard business hours

Job Summary:

Data Systems Integration Group, Inc. (DSIG) is seeking an experienced and professional PC Support Technician to support one of our valued government clients in Columbus, Ohio. This is a 100% on-site role requiring excellent technical troubleshooting skills and a customer-first attitude.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who works independently and thrives in a fast-paced, high-demand support environment. A strong background in hands-on desktop support, combined with outstanding customer service skills, is essential. The resource will be deployed through DSIG to provide day-to-day end-user support at the client offices, with responsibilities ranging from workstation setup and software troubleshooting to printer and peripheral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for Windows 10/11 devices
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
  • Support Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Assist with user account management in Active Directory
  • Respond to and manage incidents via the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Deliver support in a professional, courteous, and responsive manner
  • Provide basic network connectivity troubleshooting (wired/wireless)
  • Work independently to manage daily tasks and prioritize support requests
  • Document issues and resolutions according to agency standards
  • Maintain hardware inventory and perform equipment setup/replacement as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills must be patient, courteous, and effective with non-technical users
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently minimal supervision required
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in desktop support
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with PC imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot printers and peripherals
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and basic user account tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift/move equipment as needed (e.g., monitors, desktops, printers)
  • Must pass a background check in accordance with AGO policies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a government, legal, or high-security environment
  • Prior use of ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Remote desktop support tools (e.g., RDP, Dameware, etc.)
  • A+ or other technical certifications
