Senior Data Analytics Architect
This position will play a critical role in leading and advancing data-driven strategies, artifacts, and solutions on for ASU Enterprise Partners and stakeholders. This position will be strategic thinking with a strong technical background that can transform large, complex datasets into reliable data products that produce simple, easy to understand resources in support of marketing and outreach strategies. This role reports to the senior director of marketing technology and is a part of the applied data science and analytics team. Additionally, this role will work closely with other teams including data engineering and technical solutions.

What you'll do
- Data analytics architecture: Build, automate, and maintain complex data workflows using Google Cloud Platform and Azure cloud environments
- Data modeling & analysis: Develop and manage robust datasets, including web-behavior data from sources like GA4, to power advanced analytics, such as marketing attribution, constituent insights, and funnel analysis
- Dashboarding & reporting: Design, create, and maintain dynamic and parameterized dashboards in Looker Studio and/or PowerBI that provide real-time insights for stakeholders, including executives
- Quality assurance: Conduct thorough contextual data auditing and QA to validate cross-event tracking, remove redundancies, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaboration & mentorship: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including brand, marketing, data engineering, and others, to gather requirements and align data solutions with strategic business goals. Mentor and guide junior analysts to improve their technical skills and data storytelling abilities
- Technical communication: Present complex data insights and product roadmaps to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and executives
What you'll need
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Python for data analysis
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), particularly BigQuery, including scheduled queries, partitioning, and batch optimization
- Strong experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and working with raw web-behavior data
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, PowerBI and/or Tableau
- Experience with project management tools like Jira and familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Sprint Planning)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a track record of improving processes and enhancing data reliability
- Must be able to query relational and non-relational databases
Relevant qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in marketing data science, data analytics, data architecture or a related field
- OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Preferred education and experience
- Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Machine Learning operations
- Advanced statistical analysis
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and Azure cloud environments
- Familiarity with customer data platforms such as Growthloop, Tealium, etc.
