General Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a major Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) project. This critical contract role requires strong technical HRIS knowledge, expert business analysis skills, and direct experience with large-scale system implementations.
The primary focus will be providing project support for the implementation of Workday HCM for a workforce of 70,000 state employees, which involves replacing the existing PeopleSoft HCM system. The scope includes HR systems integrations, complex data conversion, and benefits administration. Additional areas of support may encompass Compensation, Learning, Talent (Recruiting and Performance), and Core HR functions.
Candidates must be local to the Atlanta area and able to adhere to the hybrid work arrangement, including coming to the office as required.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in the implementation team by:
- Reviewing and resolving data conversion and integration issues, including documenting root cause analysis and ensuring the successful population of accurate data into Workday.
- Providing technical support for the maintenance or enhancements of various HR systems.
- Serving as a tier-two resource for user support, resolving complex system inquiries.
- Acting as the primary liaison between assigned business units (HR, Benefits, etc.) and the technical development team to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong Data Analysis Skills: Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets for validation, conversion, and troubleshooting.
- HRIS Implementation Success: Demonstrated success in implementing complex HRIS integrations, particularly in large, enterprise environments.
- Workday Expertise: Extensive experience managing and optimizing large-scale Workday HCM environments.
- Technical Tools: Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and/or various data analysis tools.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, necessary for stakeholder management and requirements gathering.
- Deliverables: Ability to present and document high quality, detailed deliverables (e.g., requirements documents, test plans, traceability matrices).
Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Four (4) years' experience implementing and/or administering HRIS.
- Direct experience in large-scale data conversions is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience administering Workday Benefits with multiple integration partners.
- Direct experience supporting large scale HR system integrations.
- Experience administering PeopleSoft HCM.
- Experience supporting technology in the public sector.
