Position Title: DevOps Manager
Location: Glendale, AZ (hybrid work schedule)
Term: Full-time/Direct Hire
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Manager to lead our DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, and Infrastructure teams. This role is critical to ensuring the availability, scalability, security, and performance of our platforms. As a DevOps Manager, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to deliver automated, scalable solutions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, reliability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps, Cloud, SRE, and Infrastructure engineers.
- Define and execute the vision and roadmap for infrastructure automation, cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align DevOps strategy with business and product goals.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Oversee the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Ensure consistent and repeatable build, test, and deployment processes across environments.
Cloud Engineering
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and ensure best practices in security, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Implement and maintain multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud strategies, as applicable.
- Govern access controls, identity management, and security policies across cloud platforms.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Drive the adoption of SRE principles to enhance system reliability and reduce toil.
- Define and monitor SLOs/SLAs/SLIs for critical services.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and postmortems to continuously improve system resilience.
Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of core infrastructure (compute, storage, networking).
- Manage configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning of systems and services.
- Develop and enforce policies for patching, backup, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
Qualifications:
Required
- 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, and modern SDLC methodologies.
Preferred
- Certifications in cloud (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, etc.).
- Background in security, compliance, or governance.
- Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
