POSITION DETAILS
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a highly qualified AWS Application Support Engineer for a Direct-Hire, Hybrid role based in Addison, TX! The AWS Application Support Engineer will provide Application Maintenance and Operations Support for a modern, cloud-native SaaS enterprise application environment. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, performance, and reliability of an AWS-based serverless application stack, while proactively managing technical debt, incidents, performance, and compliance requirements.This role requires a technically proficient, security-conscious, and collaborative team with a track record in supporting large-scale enterprise applications and maintaining high service level availability.
- Proactive Monitoring: Continuously monitor application health, performance, and security using automated tools.
- Incident Management: Identify, escalate, and resolve application and infrastructure incidents in alignment with defined SLAs.
- Performance & Availability Management: Maintain system uptime above 99%, optimize application responsiveness, and reduce MTTR.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with internal IT, third-party vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Technical Debt Management: Maintain and optimize source code, ensuring continued scalability and resilience.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing Enterprise SaaS Application Support, ideally in a serverless AWS environments with technologies such as:
- AWS RDS (PostgreSQL)
- Node.js
- Angular
- Incident and SLA Management
- Proficiency with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or BMC Remedy)
- Demonstrated success in maintaining SLAs and reducing downtime.
- Operational Automation
- Experience implementing automation tools for patching, remediation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Security & Compliance
- Working knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks such as:
- SOC 2, CIS v8.1, NIST 800-53r5, ISO 27001, FedRAMP
- Performance Optimization
- Experience with capacity planning, system tuning, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication in U.S. English.

- Familiarity with natural language and AI-assisted tools in operational workflows.
