The Body Electronics System Test Engineer will:
- Lead Body electronics feature and system testing.
- Create, manage, and complete Body electronics software feature validation plans.
- Develop test methodologies to support new technology launch.
- Lead test automation framework development and execution.
- Collect data using advanced test equipment.
- Analyze, review results and document failures.
- Author validation reports
- Work with the supplier to assure that all results are correct and delivered on-time.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead system test issue resolution initiatives
- Lead best practices and process improvement initiatives.
- Lead Export validation activities in foreign countries with local partners
- Lead regulatory and compliance relevant activities for body electronics software features.
- Participate in DFMEA work groups.
- Lead program team reviews and demos.
- Maintain communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in Engineering.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent field of study
- Valid US Driver License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in programming/scripting (Python etc.)
- Experience with vehicle and bench validation at component or subsystem level
- Experience at an automotive OEM or supplier in software development, test automation etc. area
- Experience with data logging tools (CANALYZER, Vehicle Spy Tools etc.)
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) process and familiarity with Gherkin.
- Quick to learn, ambitious, and willing to work hands-on with GM's vehicles and benches.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.
