Application Systems Analysis/Programming Manager Mainframe
Role Responsibilities
Conduct analysis, design, coding, and component & assembly testing for all application code.
Participate in maintenance, production support, enhancements, and development work.
Collaborate and provide technical expertise to the ITO and ATCSU unit to develop solutions that implement business and system requirements.
Work under direct supervision of a Project Manager or designated ITO representative.
Develop and/or receive program specification requirements describing coding to be performed.
Deliver new or modified programs, conduct unit testing, develop supporting documentation, and participate in user system testing.
Experience with database conversions is desired and beneficial.
Qualifications and Skills
Hands-on experience in coding, testing, and debugging programs written in COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2.
Experience with CICS.
Experience in conversions for IDMS/DC to CICS and IDMS to DB2.
Experience in usability testing and user system testing.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral forms with technical and non-technical personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Attain complete understanding of the Civil Case Management system and other Judiciary applications in order to develop solutions from business and system requirements.
Develop and receive program specification requirements.
Deliver new or modified programs.
Conduct unit and system testing with users.
Develop supportive documentation.
