Position Overview:
We are seeking a Firewall Administrator to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions across enterprise environments. This role requires a strong technical foundation in networking, deep knowledge of vendor-specific technologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect secure network infrastructures aligned with business and security requirements.
Implement and evaluate firewall technologies, IDS/IPS, and secure communication protocols.
Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses to support architectural decisions.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of network and security solutions.
Lead incident response architecture and contribute to post-incident reviews and improvements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices and vendor-specific solutions.
Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and procedures.
Required Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, subnetting).
Hands-on expertise with firewall technologies (stateful inspection, next-gen firewalls, Layer 7 filtering).
Proficiency in security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS).
Experience with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, packet/network analyzers).
Practical knowledge of IDS/IPS systems.
Proficiency with command-line interfaces and scripting.
Familiarity with log analysis and SIEM tools.
Security Knowledge:
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.
Knowledge of threat intelligence, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
Hands-on experience in risk assessment and vulnerability management.
Familiarity with incident response lifecycle and procedures.
