Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer -- Integrations in Atlanta, GA.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer - Integrations will implement, deploy, maintain high performing large-scale cloud native services and solutions. The position will: analyze, design, test, develop, and maintain software products and tools; define technical designs that take into account the scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected; develop microservices using Spring Boot; ensure code quality and perform Unit testing using Junit and Mockito framework; deploy microservices on a Rancher server also using Cloud bees Jenkin Pipeline; Experience working with private and/or public cloud platform like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform. Experience in developing applications in Java/Spring boot, Kafka, no-SQL, Oracle/SQL DB, test automation tools, vulnerability management, monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Kibana. Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, security, monitoring of business applications; design and run integration testing for applications in an integration environment; support project design and recommendations that span the entire platform; and review tasks. Critically and ensure they appropriately prioritized, sized for incremental delivery, and released on time. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose and rectify issues in complex cloud operational environments. Commitment to healthy engineering practices, documentation, quality and performance optimization are equally important technical responsibilities. Position may allow work from home within commuting distance of worksite. Multiple Positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires at least Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 3 years of experience as a software developer or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Requires at least Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 3 years of experience as a software developer or related. Must possess 3 years of experience with all of the following skills: (a) gathering requirements and creating technical designs; (b) developing applications using Java, including writing collections, generics, serializations, and exceptions handling; (c) implementing and deploying integration and API solutions; (d) writing and performing unit testing using Junit; (e) performing integration testing; (f) developing RESTful webservices; and (g) utilizing all of the following: Java, Oracle, Spring Boot, and Git. In lieu of a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 3 years, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 5 years of experience as a software developer, associate or related and 5 years of experience with all of the skills listed above.
