Position Overview
Our healthcare client is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join their team and support the development and deployment of data pipelines, integrations, and transformations that power analytics and machine learning solutions. This role is part of a collaborative product team and involves working with modern cloud technologies and open-source tools to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Position Overview
Our healthcare client is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join their team and support the development and deployment of data pipelines, integrations, and transformations that power analytics and machine learning solutions. This role is part of a collaborative product team and involves working with modern cloud technologies and open-source tools to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines and data assets using batch and/or streaming processes.
- Develop and deploy data integrations and transformations to support analytics and machine learning applications.
- Collaborate with product owners and analytics/ML delivery teams to identify data needs, conduct exploratory analysis, and transform data into actionable insights.
- Apply independent judgment to maintain and enhance existing data solutions and tools.
- Provide consultative support to departments, divisions, and leadership committees.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data systems aligned with the Department of Data & Analytics technology framework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience (5+ years).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience programming in SQL.
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines and data assets.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience with the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) tech stack, including advanced skills in several of the following:
- Terraform
- Google Cloud Platform Dataflow
- Google Cloud Platform BigQuery
- Google Cloud Platform Dataproc
- Google Cloud Platform Data Fusion
- Google Cloud Platform Change Data Capture (CDC)
- Python/SQL
- Cloud Functions
- Cloud Events
