Experience

General:
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Effectively communicate with people on both a technical and non-technical level
  • Ability to work with a global, remote workforce.
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to work in a pressured production environment while not compromising on the quality of the service provided.
  • A focus on customer service / satisfaction.

Specific:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in Infrastructure or related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with hands-on experience in managing accounts and handling billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

Required Skills
  • Operating Systems:
    • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration (file systems, permissions, processes, networking, logs).
    • Basic Windows Server administration (IIS, Active Directory, registry, PowerShell).
  • Compute & Virtualization:
    • Knowledge of OCI Compute instances (provisioning, shapes, custom images, boot volumes, block volumes).
    • Familiarity with virtualization concepts (hypervisors, CPU pinning, memory allocation).
    • Experience with instance troubleshooting - e.g., boot failures, kernel panics, networking misconfigurations.
  • Networking:
    • Deep understanding of VPC concepts - subnets, route tables, internet gateways, service gateways.
    • IP routing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and security lists/NSGs.
    • Troubleshooting connectivity issues using tools like ping, traceroute, nslookup, tcpdump, etc.
  • Storage & Block Volumes:
    • Familiarity with block storage, object storage, and file storage services.
    • Mounting volumes, handling I/O errors, and resizing storage.
  • Scripting & Automation:
    • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.

Preferred Skills (Optional):
  • Project Management Skills: Basic project management skills to plan, execute, and manage projects effectively, including requirements gathering, resource allocation, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Be able to read various logs and identify issues.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $24.95 to $60.63 per hour; from: $51,900 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
