Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager Point of Sale (POS) and Payment Hardware SME to take end-to-end ownership of strategic, functional, and operational decisions around in-store POS systems, peripherals, and payment hardware across thousands of retail locations. This role is hybrid and requires local candidates in Seattle, WA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own strategic value, usability, and performance of POS hardware and payment systems across caf and drive-thru ordering experiences.

  • Define and approve hardware requirements, usability, accessibility, and physical installation standards.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers on user flows, physical touchpoints (e.g., register displays, receipt printers, cash drawers).

  • Lead non-functional requirements like maintenance, business continuity, and performance monitoring.

  • Manage product selection, implementation, and support of POS & payment hardware across a large store network (4000+ locations).

  • Stay updated on industry advancements in POS/payment hardware and bring innovation to product strategy.

  • Drive cross-functional product roadmap planning, aligning with software and feature engineering priorities.

  • Represent the product roadmap and hardware direction with executive-level stakeholders (e.g., Steering Committee).

  • Analyze service ticket trends, store partner feedback, and business disruption to guide lifecycle management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail/quick-service POS and payment solutions.

  • Deep technical understanding of POS/payment hardware systems, with awareness of backend and edge architectures.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and user-centric design principles.

  • Certified Product Owner (Preferred).

  • Experience working across cross-functional engineering, business, and executive teams.
