We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner Proxy to support product development initiatives focused on logistics data and analytics. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that product requirements are clearly defined, documented, and prioritized. You will play a critical role in driving data governance, analytics, and dashboard development efforts, particularly within the context of USMC logistics.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner Proxy to support product development initiatives focused on logistics data and analytics. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that product requirements are clearly defined, documented, and prioritized. You will play a critical role in driving data governance, analytics, and dashboard development efforts, particularly within the context of USMC logistics.
Responsibilities
- Product Development Support: Represent the Product Owner in agile development processes, manage product backlog, define user stories, and ensure alignment with project goals and priorities.
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze raw logistics data to extract actionable insights and identify trends that inform decision-making.
- Data Governance: Contribute to the development and implementation of federated data governance policies and procedures.
- Analytics Enablement: Support data analytics initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Dashboard Development: Provide guidance on the design and implementation of dashboards, with a focus on USMC logistics data.
- Domain Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of USMC logistics domains including maintenance, supply, transportation, and NSN identification.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
- Active secret clearance or higher
- 10+ years of professional experience in data analytics, product development, or logistics.
- 3+ years of experience with database query languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Familiarity with Navy or Marine Corps logistics data, including supply and maintenance systems.
- Working knowledge of Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
- Proven ability to work independently on high-visibility, mission-critical projects.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff on project tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of stakeholders.
