RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA Tester in Dania Beach, FL.
Summary:
We are seeking a Manual Software Tester with experience in mobile application testing to work diligently to detect and report issues across our software programs, apps, and websites. In this role, you will conduct quality assurance (QA) testing throughout a project's lifecycle, examining our products from an end-user perspective and reporting any bugs to the development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android), and will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and documenting bugs and errors to development teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Follow QA Best Practices
* Some understanding of Test Management Systems
* Review Project Requirements and gain an understanding of new functionality requests
* Participate in Project Grooming Sessions
* Participate in Brainstorming Activities with Project Team
* Identify and Create Test Case Scenarios following QA Best Practices
* Execute Test Cases assigned to you by the QA Lead
* Perform manual testing on mobile applications (iOS/Android) to ensure functionality, usability, and performance
* Assist Project Team with assignments and coordination of the project testing team
* Report Incidents (defects) and document so that they can be clearly followed
* Participate in daily standups as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and report your testing efforts/findings as well as Jr Team Members' findings
* Escalate any Roadblocks preventing you from completing tasks in a timely manner
* Provide a timely and accurate Status Report Daily on the work completed
* Participate in Deployment and Post Deployment Activities including QA Sign Offs, Night of Deployment Document, and Deployment Planning with Lead/Mgr
* Participate in Retrospective Sessions and provide feedback
REQUIREMENTS:
* 1-2 years of QA experience, including hands-on testing of mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
* Functional and Behavioral Competencies
* Detail-oriented and able to work independently without direct supervision
* Confidence to participate and contribute within a fast-paced, technologically aggressive, highly skilled, and collegial team
* Ability to work and participate in a team setting with an open, collaborative communication style
* Must have a reliable source of transportation to be onsite 5 days/week
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
